Diego Fried

Diego Fried achieved rather a lot for an emerging filmmaker and TV commercial director. Diego’s “Song Swimmer” for SONY won two Silver Lions at Cannes Lions 2014. His first feature film “Sangrita” was selected for the New Directors Competition (Independent Film Festival of Buenos Aires) BAFICI and the San Pablo Int’l Film Festival. His second feature film “Wine” became an Official Selection of the Moscow Int’l Film Festival, the Official Competition of Kerala Int’l Film Festival and won best Actress Award at Padies Film Festival (France). Diego’s last music promo “Sexual Tension” (2013) by Chocho won the best Video Clip at the Buenos Aires Emergent Festival, and selected as one of the ten best video clips of the year by The Inrockuptibles Magazine. Storytelling and directing actors are Diego’s strong qualities as well a cinematic way of viewing the world. As an advertising director he shoots for brands like PepsiCo, Danone, LG, and Sony among others. Diego Fried studied film directing at the Film University (FUC) in Buenos Aires, his first short films achieved recognition and awards at film festivals such as Rotterdam, Toulouse, La Habana, and New York among others. Thereafter he started working as an editor and assistant director for national and international renowned directors, before venturing out on his own.
